Historical information

The Kalk Bay Heritage society has done a great deal of research and put together a detailed document about the Tidal Pools around Kalk Bay.  These include St James, Dalebrook, Kalk Bay tidal pool and Wooley's pool.

Maidens Cove - 1970

Maidens Cove, between Clifton and Camps Bay, was the only place on the Atlantic coastline where people of colour could braai in the 1970s.

The Atlantic Seaboard from Mouille Point through to Camps Bay has also been home to a number of tidal pools.  I'm still trying to source a report on these for everyone but in the interim we've found some photos.
